Winx Club

Magic Winx! Winx Club is an animated television series directed, created, and produced by Iginio Straffi and his company Rainbow S.r.l.. It is part of the larger Winx Club franchise. The series is the first Italian cartoon to be sold in the U.S. It is aimed toward children between the ages of three and seven. According to Iginio Straffi's website, "Winx Club is an action and fantasy show combined with comedic elements. In the mystical dimension of Magix, three special schools educate modern fairies, ambitious witches and supernatural warriors, and wizards from all over the magical universe."

Bloom (Season 1–present): She is the Fairy of the Dragon Flame, which is the very source of vast strength, energy, and power of the legendary Great Dragon itself, who had created the entire magical universe. She discovered her dormant magical abilities after coming to the aid of another fairy, Stella. She is always available to help her friends. Bloom is loyal, strong, and a bit stubborn, and she never backs down from a problem or challenge. She is also the strongest and most powerful fairy in the universe.

Stella (Season 1–present): She is originally the Fairy of the Sun and the Moon. But in the 4Kids and Nickelodeon dub she is The Fairy of the Shining Sun. Stella used to be a talkative "girly girl" carefree and loved being the center of attention. But she has changed a lot because of her friends. She tends to be spontaneous and dislikes extensive planning, but she is able to recognize when her help is needed. Stella cares a lot about her appearance. Stella is the most stylish and fashionable of the winx. Stella loves fashion and wants to be a fashion designer, so shes always creating fashion forward outfits for herself and her friends.

Flora (Season 1–present): She is the Fairy of Nature. She draws her power from flower, plants and trees. Flora is a very kind-hearted and sensitive girl with a passion for nature and life. She is always happy and intelligent, she is also always a sweet, loyal friend and does not believe in hurting others or the environment. No one can stop her from preparing magic potions. Flora is the wisest and thoughtful of the winx and she is always the first to ask how anyone is feeling. She is extremely fond of plants and nature and her room consequently resembles a greenhouse. She comes from Lynphea, The planet of Nature where everybody is relaxed, calmed and peaceful

Tecna (Season 1–present): She is the Fairy of Technology. Tecna is extremely smart and loves technology. She is from the planet Zenith and draws her powers from technological and energetic sources. Self confident and a perfectionist, her knowledge of science makes her the go to girl for creating devices to get her and her friends out of trouble. Tecna loves to discover and master the latest video-games, gadget and computer program. Sometimes she gets engrossed with technology, and her enthusiasm with technology can be annoying. She is always practical and logical, sometimes to a fault.

Musa (Season 1–present): She is the Fairy of Music. Musa gets her strength and energy from all kinds of music. She also loves all forms of music and can play any type as well. Although she tries to put up a tough front to isolate herself and is often pessimistic, she is a loyal and caring friend. She is the most down to earth out of the winx and is never afraid to speak her mind. She is a bit of a tomboy but can be girly at many times. She is pale and appears to be of Asian descent, with blue-black hair and blue eyes. She comes from the planet, Melody, so she grew with music all around her.Melody is also a place where its people love all kind of music.

Aisha (Season 2–present) She is the Fairy of Waves and is able to manipulate a pink fluid called Morphix to take on any form she chooses. Aisha is the Princess of the planet Andros a water planet. The mermaids are faithful allies of Aisha's parents and the help protect the planet. She has a restless, rebellious and has a wild nature. She is also super gutsy, loves dancing and all sorts of sports. She faces every difficulty head on. She is also a little bit of an idealist, repulsive and always on the move. She appears to be African-American. Aisha is more of an athlete, a fighter, dancer and wind-raider rider compared to the rest of the group. In the 4kids dub, she is a feminist and thus opposes Riven, a chauvinist, whereas in the original, she is shy and submissive.

Roxy (Season 4–present): She is the Fairy of Animals. Roxy is the last terrestrial Earth fairy. The Winx fairies' newest mission is to protect Roxy from the four Wizards of the Black Circle, who are after her, her magical abilities center around animals which makes her the fairy of animals, and has animal-related attacks and spells that take on the forms of animals. She also lives in Gardenia, just like Bloom, making the two close. The Winx girls noticed her in The Frutti Music Bar, where her father and herself work, and got to be friends with her later in the season. As the fairy of Animals, she owns a pet dog, Artu, whom she loves very much and despises anyone who tries to hurt him.

Adventure Time!

What time is it? It's ADVENTURE TIME! Adventure Time is an American animated television series created by Pendleton Ward for Cartoon Network. The series follows the adventures of Finn, a 14-year-old human boy, and his best friend Jake, a dog with magical powers to change shape and grow and shrink at will. Finn and Jake live in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo. Ward describes Finn as a "fiery little kid with strong morals", while Jake is based on Tripper Harrison, Bill Murray's character in the movie Meatballs.

The series is based on a short produced for Frederator's Nicktoons Network animation incubator series Random! Cartoons. After the short became a viral hit, Cartoon Network picked it up for a full-length series that previewed on March 11, 2010 and officially premiered on April 5, 2010.

Following the animated short, Frederator Studios pitched an Adventure Time series to Nickelodeon, but the network passed on it twice.The studio then approached Cartoon Network, with creator Pendleton Ward delivering them an early storyboard for the episode, "The Enchiridion", showing that the premise could be expanded into a series while maintaining elements from the original short. Cartoon Network approved the first season in September 2008, and "The Enchiridion" became the first episode.The series was initially known as "Adventure Time with Finn and Jake".

Finn the Human (voiced by Zack Shada in the pilot short where his name was Pen, by Jeremy Shada in the TV series) – Finn is a 14-year-old human boy who loves nothing more than going on adventures and saving the day. He wears a hat that covers his extremely long flowing golden hair (which he cuts off in "To Cut a Woman's Hair" and is seen to progressively grow back in following episodes). He is prone to exclamations and outbursts including "Mathematical!" and "Algebraic!".

Jake the Dog (voiced by John DiMaggio) – Jake is Finn's best friend and adoptive brother. He is a 28-year-old (in "magical dog years") shape-shifting dog. His magic powers allow him to stretch or shrink any part of his body to any shape and almost any size, ranging from becoming gigantic to becoming incredibly small. Acting as a confidant and mentor to his energetic brother (though he has a tendency to give somewhat sketchy advice).

Princess Bubblegum (voiced by Paige Moss in the pilot short, Hynden Walch in the TV series, Isabella Acres when turned younger) – Princess Bubblegum is a bubblegum humanoid, comparable to the inhabitants of Candy Kingdom, which she rules, who are all composed of types of desserts and candies. Her proficiency in science and fluency in Korean and German are a testament to her high intelligence. While Princess Bubblegum is typically kind and well-mannered, her temper can be a powerful force when provoked.

The Ice King (voiced by John Kassir in the short, Tom Kenny in the TV series) – The Ice King is the main antagonist and sometimes a protagonist of the series who is around 1,000 years old. The Ice King frequently steals princesses throughout Ooo to forcefully marry them, Princess Bubblegum being his usual target. His magic abilities to freeze things by hurling frozen lightning bolts, summoning snow monsters, and flying with his beard come from the magical crown he wears.

Marceline the Vampire Queen (voiced by Olivia Olson) – Marceline is a fun-loving and mischievous 1,000-year-old vampire Queen. Marceline plays an electric bass, which she made from her family's heirloom battle-axe as revealed in "It Came from the Nightosphere", and occasionally plays musically with Finn and Jake. Unlike most vampires, she reveals that it's the color red she likes to suck out of various things, and blood is only appealing because it is red. Like a traditional vampire, she is vulnerable to sunlight and is capable of turning into a bat, varying in size.

Lumpy Space Princess (voiced by Pendleton Ward, the show's creator) – Lumpy Space Princess (or "LSP" for short) is the princess of Lumpy Space, an alternate dimension. Like all her people, LSP is an extraterrestrial creature known as a "Lumper" which looks like a floating purple cloud with arms and a face, and can convert other beings into Lumpers by biting them. LSP is spoiled and sarcastic, constantly seeking to improve her appearance from getting cosmetic surgery to punching herself into a ball in order to be less lumpy. In later seasons, she is shown as being proud of her "lumps" and makes it known on more than one occasion that her lumps are the source of her attractiveness.
